2.5 year old Rowdy...

My sweet little boy was gifted a HUGE gift from Gpa GoGo and Gma Cici....an ipad2!!!!!!!!!!!!  It is to be used as a fun way to learn...i have been researching A LOT about the benefits of having this technology and source of education. He is a pro at navigating in and out of the apps he wants to play with, and is just loving it to pieces!!! He has apps for language, alphabet, animal sounds, interactive books...they list goes on and on...its a pretty incredible gift...THANK YOU GPA AND GMA!!!!!

 My little boy is ALL BOY...rough, tough, dirty, and LOUD!!! And I can't get enough of him!! 

 The weather is finally getting A LITTLE better here and there so we are able to play outside, which makes mamma AND baby happy! He needs to be outside running around playing with anything and everything! It has been a LONG LONG rainy winter and I think we are both suffering from cabin fever...momma needs to run this boy and get some energy out each day!

Oh how fun it is to see sunshine and lush green grass again...oh we can't wait till there are more days in a row like this!

Seriously how can you not smile when you are around him!?

My baby boy how you have grown...little would this sweet face tell you that he has entered a bit of the terrible twos...i have decided that most of it is frustration and independence. He is just really wanting to do more and more by himself, and not always capable of doing it himself. He is generally quick to say he's sorry but has been spending a lot of time in timeouts throughout the day!

This last week, I could hear from the kitchen some sort of crunching noise only to walk in and find that he was   posted up next to the dry cat food dish having a snack...YUCK!!! I started scolding him about not eating cat food that is was for the CAT only and scooped him up to wash his mouth out...and of course he started crying. My nostrils were filled with warm crying fishy breath, i could see his molars filled with mushed up cat food and with that i ran over to the kitchen sink only to dry heave  for about 3 mins. While i'm in the middle of the dry heaving, I hear over my shoulder a sweet little giggle...someone thought it was sooooo very funny....and the other of us thought it sooooo WAS NOT!

While I was getting dressed one morning last week I came out a few minutes later to find my entire living room had been toilet papered...my mischievous little guy had gone under the bathroom sink, unwrapped a toilet paper and then unrolled half a roll while running around the house! Oh my life definitely is not boring...these are the moments that i don't want to forget just because they are funny and real, and I will miss these crazy little toddler moments!

This is Dr. Hirselj, he is Rowdy's pediatric urologist and we are SOOOOOO blessed to have him on Rowdy's team!!! Dr. Hirselj performed a very important surgery on Rowdy when he was just a little 2 weeks old and we have been seeing him on a regular basis every since! We just recently had one of our regular check ups and ultrasounds to monitor Rowdy's kidney growth and function...and everything looks GOOD! Still the same, his kidneys didn't develop like yours and mine, so they aren't "perfect" but they are doing their job and still growing and remaining healthy tissue. Anytime we go in and its not bad news its great news! We just take it every appointment at a time and prepare ourselves to assist Rowdy in any way that might be required down the road, but celebrate every appointment that goes by that his kidneys are functioning properly and keeping him healthy!!
