We have much to be thankful for this year, and Rowdy agrees!!
We started our holiday adventure on Wednesday afternoon and stopped at my sister-in-laws to stay the night and continue on the next morning. Its nice to break up the 7-8 hr trip for the boy, the dog, and for the parents sanity. :) When we got to our destination, this is what greeted us...
Breathtaking right? I didn't realize how much I truly love the snow, until I have been without it for so long. This was a picture taking off my parents deck looking out at the lake. There is no place like home, but really, my home is a pretty darn special place.
We spent thanksgiving dinner over at my brother-in-law & sister-in-law's house. It was a wonderful meal, and great fun having all the cousins together to play. We've added Rowdy and two sweet little neices to the family in one year!
We had so much fun staying with my parents, Rowdy and my Dad goofing around with each other, making the "funny face."
Grandma Cici, sure had a WONDERFUL time with her Rowdy too. I think he enjoyed it just as much!
Gma CiCi bought Rowdy a Thanksgiving gift, because that's what Grandmas do, they spoil their grandbabies!! He got a Little People nativity set. He enjoys putting all the people and animals "asleep" in the barn.
20 inches of snow on the ground, we had to get out and play in it! So we bundled the boys up and headed out. Grandpa Gus chaparoned.
Rowdy's cousin showing him the 4-wheeler is done...I love Rowdy's shocked little one-eyed face in this picture!
Lance and Rowdy enjoying the winter wonderland
As always, the days seemed to slip right by, and we had to get on the road home again. We had to say our goodbyes and start the snowy trek home. Ahhh, how much i love Idaho, look forward to a time we can move back! Looking foward to see all the family this coming up month for Christmas celebrations!
Great pictures! Such a fun-filled weekend, but we miss you all so much already. Can't wait to come down for Christmas. Today the sun is out--love the blue sky against the white snow (Rowdy told me he wants to go skiing next year, just so ya know!)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh my favorite view! All you needed was a nice glass of red wine to set that snowy heaven off!! Great pics, and way to go getting a blog up!!
